CEM ÜNVEREN (research assistant for post-doctoral studies at University of Quebec in Montreal )

Several years ago, I had hopes of visiting a foreign university to do research on my MA degree thesis. I had no idea where to go, which country or which program to choose. Then, when I saw an International Education advertisement in the newspaper, I thought maybe someone there could lead the way. I told myself “It is worth a try, go on Cem !”.

Thanks to Aysegül Efeçinar, and her constant support since our first meeting, I had the great opportunity to participate in U.C.L Language School in London in 1999. Though only a very short trip was planned, I achieved what I had envisaged. During the trip she kept in contact with me and was there to help any time I had trouble – i.e. the problem of transportation can be a huge problem in a city as big as London, and she helped me sort it out.

I am currently working at the University of Quebec in Montréal as research assistant for post-doctoral studies. Guess who my educational consultant is! Guess who recommended me to contact this beautiful university! Yes! You are right to say Aysegul Efecinar. She did her best to find the right university for me to succeed in my academic career.
